Job Title: Manufacturing Lead** **Job Description

The Manufacturing Lead plays a crucial role in our operational team by leading crews and handling various tasks related to the formulation and movement of products, raw materials, and other commodities. This position involves operating packaging and formulation equipment to maximize production output, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained.

Responsibilities

+ Lead a team in packaging formulated products and formulating raw materials into finished products.

+ Set up equipment, troubleshoot issues, perform system cleanouts, and manage product changeovers.

+ Execute online maintenance of all production-related equipment while adhering to safety rules and procedures.

+ Complete production paperwork and identify quality control issues.

+ Develop a run plan, train team members, and perform quality assurance tests.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.

+ Three years of production/manufacturing experience is required.

+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.

+ Ability to use various types of packaging machinery.

+ Math skills and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English are required; bilingual is preferred.

+ Ability to work varying shifts and over 40 hours as needed.

+ Lift truck operator certification and ability to pass an OSHA respirator physical.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa, operating on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, starting between 6am-7am for an 8-hour shift. The environment is a manufacturing plant where you will work near moving equipment and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and biological hazards. Protective gear, including uniforms, steel-toed boots, and hair nets, will be provided, and showers are required after each shift. The Formulation team consists of 2-3 people, and the Packaging team includes 4-8 people.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
