    Aerotek is currently hiring for a facilities maintenance technician in the greater Belcamp, MD area!

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Facilities Technician and contribute to our commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. In this role, you will perform daily assignments related to mechanical and facilities operations, ensuring that all building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and compressed air systems, are operating optimally and in compliance with safety standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Participate actively in our culture of zero injuries and illnesses.

    + Perform daily and special assignments as directed by the Maintenance Lead, Supervisor, or Management.

    + Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure optimal performance.

    + Conduct routine inspections of facility infrastructure and address issues proactively.

    + Respond to facility-related emergencies and take appropriate corrective actions.

    + Maintain facility documentation for audits and inspections.

    + Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to building safety.

    + Train in Instrument, Mechanical, and Electrical areas to become proficient in troubleshooting and repairs.

    + Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping practices.

    + Utilize the SAP maintenance management program to write notifications, create orders, and review equipment history.

    + Operate company mobile equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts.

    + Perform assembly and rigging functions for equipment repairs.

    + Use specialty hand and shop tools as required.

    + Comply with Plant rules and Safety requirements.

    + Prioritize and organize work efficiently, determining necessary resources for assignments.

    + Perform Preventive Maintenance inspections and audits, documenting findings.

    + Communicate the status of daily assignments to relevant supervisors and team members.

    + Respond to plant call-ins to troubleshoot mechanical or facilities problems.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as an electro-mechanical technician, maintenance mechanic, or PLC technician.

    + Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.

    + Prior facilities experience required.

    + Knowledge and use of hand and shop tools.

    + Effective troubleshooting skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanic experience is preferred.

    + Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to change.

    + Ability to work in a team environment.

    + Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

    + Working knowledge of SAP maintenance module is preferred.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belcamp, MD.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
