Job Title: Refrigeration Technician** **Job Description
The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the plant’s refrigeration systems and related utilities to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimal downtime. This role focuses on ammonia refrigeration systems, steam generation, compressed air systems, and facility electrical distribution.
Responsibilities
+ Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot closed-loop ammonia refrigeration systems.
+ Perform preventative and condition-based maintenance on facility utilities.
+ Diagnose and repair electrical components, including motors and control circuits.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve reliability.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational KPIs such as Productivity, Quality, Safety, Cost, and Delivery.
Essential Skills
+ Technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, thermodynamics, electrical, and mechanical principles.
+ Ability to respond to HAZMAT emergencies related to ammonia systems.
+ Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
+ Familiarity with shop tools and maintenance best practices.
+ Problem-solving and project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma required; technical or higher education preferred.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience with closed-loop refrigeration systems.
+ Experience with facility utilities and HAZMAT procedures.
+ Solid understanding of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related components.
+ Proficient in MS Office applications.
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $78208.00 - $82597.00/yr.
