    3rd Shift Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a diligent and motivated individual to join our team as a 3rd Shift Operator. This role involves operating the sit down forklift, maintaining equipment, and ensuring efficient production processes in a non-climate-controlled environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the baler/sit-down forklift daily to ensure optimal production.

    + Record hourly and daily logs of total weight materials processed.

    + Document any downtime of the baler flow and take corrective actions as needed.

    + Perform physical duties associated with the operation of equipment to maintain workflow.

    + Follow the directions of the Area Supervisor regarding daily production and activities.

    + Conduct daily preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure longevity and efficiency.

    + Adhere to the dress code and comply with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines at all times.

    + Work independently in the absence of direct supervision to meet production goals.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in production, general labor, and machine operation.

    + Proficiency in operating sit down forklift.

    + Knowledge of non-ferrous materials.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work efficiently.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is located in a non-climate-controlled environment, requiring adherence to dress code and PPE guidelines. The role demands flexibility with hours, including potential overtime and weekend work

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
