WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
+ Perform repairs of Outdoor Warning Systems (DOD “Giant Voice” equivalent) on utility poles, buildings, and other structures.
+ Operate a bucket truck with a 40’ boom and aerial lifts.
+ Travel to job sites for up to two weeks.
+ Read and interpret site plans and equipment specifications.
+ Use test equipment, hand tools, and software for various repairs.
+ Adheres to safe work practices.
+ Occasional overtime, after-hours, and/or weekends when needed to maintain schedule or restore service for customers.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:
+ Must have a minimum of two (2) year electronics degree or Military equivalent.
+ Basic use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Experience using a voltmeter and basic hand tools
+ Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and obtain a DOT medical card.
+ Requires background checks and drug screening with hair follicle test.
YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the ability to travel as needed. Some overnight travel may be expected.
