    Job Title: Lathe Prototype Machinist

    •PAY: $35-$50

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC 5-Axis Lathe Programmer with expertise in live tooling and prototype manufacturing. You will be responsible for operating, setting up, and programming Hyundai WIA CNC 5-Axis lathes, primarily for aerospace or rocket manufacturing.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate, set up, and program Hyundai WIA CNC 5-Axis lathes.

    + Utilize experience with Fanuc controls and prototype manufacturing.

    + Apply strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

    + Handle sub-spindle live tooling and work with materials such as Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.

    + Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

    + Select and adjust tools, offsets, and feeds/speeds to optimize machine performance and part accuracy.

    + Perform quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

    + Work in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

    Essential Skills

    + CNC Lathe Programming

    + Live Tooling Experience

    + Strong understanding of GD&T

    + Proficiency with Fanuc controls

    + Prototype manufacturing experience

    + Experience with sub-spindle live tooling

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working with a variety of materials including Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Inconel, and Titanium

    + Previous experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment is a plus

    + Ability to pass a GD&T Test

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $67.20 - $84.00/hr.
