    Job Title: Assembly Technician

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble components using hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, and press fits.

    + Mount assembled components like transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets onto chassis panels.

    + Connect component wires to circuits and wires between individual component leads.

    + Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.

    + Position or align components and parts using hand tools or machines.

    + Conduct quality control checks to ensure product standards.

    + Clean and maintain the work area and equipment, including tools.

    + Prepare work by studying parts lists and gathering necessary parts, subassemblies, and tools.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with electrical wiring and wire harness assembly.

    + Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints or electrical assembly diagrams.

    + Ability to work with hand and power tools, such as torque drills, wrenches, and ratchets.

    + Experience in electronic and mechanical assembly, including schematics and electrical assembly.

    + Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in general production and assembly line work.

    + Capability to lift up to 50lbs.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is climate controlled, ensuring comfortable working conditions. Expect to work 10-hour shifts, including weekends, for the time being. The first shift operates from 6 am to 2:30 pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
