    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description

     

    Engage in the mechanical assembly and up-fitting of railroad track equipment within a shop floor environment. Work within a smaller team of 5-6 people, utilizing both hand and power tools, and follow detailed prints. Not only will you perform tasks, but also understand the underlying reasons behind them as you build. This role involves working with hydraulics.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform mechanical assembly and up-fitting of railroad track equipment.

    + Utilize hand and power tools to assemble parts according to blueprints.

    + Diagnose tasks and understand the 'why' behind each process.

    + Work with hydraulic systems as part of the assembly process.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or mechanic work.

    + Proficiency in reading blueprints and assembling parts.

    + Experience with heavy machinery.

    + Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with hydraulics is highly preferred.

    + Good resume tenure and overall work history.

    Work Environment

    Work in a shop floor environment with a small team of 5-6 people. The role operates on a day shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
