Job Title: Housekeeper - Week Day Shift** **Job Description

Perform essential housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment within the facility. This includes sweeping, mopping, washing, dusting, and polishing various surfaces, as well as cleaning furniture, fixtures, and appliances efficiently. Prepare discharged patient areas for new occupancy by sanitizing beds, mattresses, furnishings, and bathrooms, and restock necessary supplies to ensure a perfect environment.

Responsibilities

+ Perform isolation cleaning procedures according to infection control standards.

+ Follow isolation procedures to maintain an aseptic environment.

+ Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment for a variety of surfaces and finishes.

+ Use chemicals properly, adhering to manufacturer's directions.

+ Maintain closets with adequate supplies and store them properly.

+ Ensure equipment is operated in a clean, safe, and secure manner.

+ Restore rooms or areas to their original condition after cleaning.

+ Empty waste receptacles daily to prevent odor and reduce microorganism spread.

Essential Skills

+ Must have 1+ year of janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or EVS experience.

+ Proficiency in housekeeping and cleaning tasks such as mopping and sweeping.

+ Knowledge of environmental service and customer service practices.

+ Ability to effectively sanitize and maintain cleanliness.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a rehabilitation hospital with approximately 100 employees. The position is for the 1st shift, totaling 40 hours per week. While hours must be consistent, there is flexibility in the start time. The dress code includes wearing scrubs and non-slip shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
