Survey Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician with 2-3 years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and a background in construction survey projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for post-processing and analyzing survey data, preparing stakeout sketches and point files, and producing accurate As-Built Drawings.
Responsibilities
+ Post-process and analyze survey data.
+ Prepare stakeout sketches, point files, and DXF files for all construction stakeout needs.
+ Output accurate and professional As-Built Drawings.
+ Perform accurate volume calculations as needed.
+ Prepare accurate cut-sheets and sketches for various field tasks.
+ Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project requirements are met.
+ Handle utility calculations, PDF overlays, creating working files, storm/sanitary calculations, 3D modeling, and ensuring constructability of designs for underground work.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D.
+ Clear understanding of Survey Points, Point Groups, .CSV’s, Coordinate Systems, etc.
+ Ability to calculate pipe slopes.
+ Organize DWG files using Dynamic Blocks, Layers, and Colors.
+ Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for points, stakeout, linework, and working files.
+ Experience with As-built drawings.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Princeton, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.92 - $30.28/hr.
