    Job Description

    The Distribution Engineer will play a vital role in developing design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems ranging from 4kV to 138kV. This position primarily focuses on programmatic work such as overloaded transformers, inspection and maintenance, joint use, and inspection reports. The engineer will adhere to safety requirements and design quality expectations while providing engineering support during construction and conducting post-construction reviews.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop design and construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems.

    + Comply with safety requirements and design quality expectations.

    + Conduct engineering calculations including structural analysis for wood pole loading and voltage drop.

    + Develop permitting documents for various AHJs.

    + Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews.

    + Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigate using engineering principles.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

    + 0-1 years of relevant experience.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilmington, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $29.81/hr.
