    ABOUT

    The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four heavy civil construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. We do a wide variety of heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, and DOT work, power plants, dams and reservoirs, underground utilities, site development, and more.

    GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

    AIS Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Asset Equipment Manager to oversee the lifecycle, performance, and utilization of company equipment, fleet, and operational assets across our construction operations. This role is responsible for strategic asset planning, equipment performance optimization, maintenance coordination, and cost control to support safe, efficient project execution.

     

    Internally, this position operates as an Asset Manager, with enterprise-level (site level, etc. based on the level job being listed) responsibility for equipment, machinery, vehicles, tools, and supporting asset systems.

     

    The Equipment Manager serves as the primary owner of AIS Infrastructure's equipment and asset portfolio, ensuring assets are deployed effectively, maintained properly, and managed in alignment with safety, financial, and operational goals.

     

    This role partners closely with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and Project Teams to maximize uptime, reduce lifecycle costs, and support project delivery across multiple locations.

    MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the management and optimization of construction equipment, fleet, and operational assets.

    • Oversee equipment utilization, maintenance planning, lifecycle management, and replacement strategy.

    • Analyze asset performance, downtime trends, and cost drivers.

    • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, inspections, and compliance activities.

    • Maintain accurate equipment and asset records, warranties, and service agreements.

    • Identify opportunities to improve asset efficiency, availability, and ROI.

    • Support equipment planning for current and upcoming projects

    REQUIRED JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Strong knowledge of asset management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Proficiency in using computer software and systems relevant to asset management.

    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Customer service-oriented mindset.

    EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.

    • Relevant certifications or licenses in asset management or related areas (e.g., Certified Asset Manager, Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) preferred.

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management or a related field, preferably in the construction or industrial services industry.

    • In-depth knowledge of asset management software systems.

    • Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and software used in asset management.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS

    • Office-based work with occasional visits to construction sites or industrial facilities.

    • Potential hazards or safety considerations related to working in construction or industrial environments.

    • May involve physical demands such as walking, standing, and lifting.

    • May require occasional work outside regular business hours and travel to different locations as needed.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Strong knowledge of financial analysis and budgeting principles as they relate to asset management.

    • Proficiency in using asset management software and related technology.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and information.

    • Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive asset management decisions.

    • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining asset records and documentation.

    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

    • Customer service skills to address internal and external asset management inquiries.

    PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Physical requirements may include walking, standing, and lifting heavy objects.

    • Mental demands may include managing multiple priorities, making decisions under pressure, and analyzing complex asset management data.

    • Ability to work in various weather conditions, if required for site visits or inspections.
