    Lisa Cole with Robert Half is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead key financial functions for a growing company in the Sacramento area. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial reporting in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This opportunity offers long-term career potential.     Key Responsibilities

    + Financial Reporting & Compliance: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP. Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.

    + Technical Accounting: Manage complex GL activities (accruals, revenue recognition, intercompany) and perform detailed account reconciliations. Research and document technical accounting issues.

    + Audit Management: Serve as a primary contact for external auditors. Prepare audit schedules and lead internal audit readiness activities.

    + Process Improvement: Identify and drive continuous improvement in accounting policies, procedures, and workflows.

    + Analysis: Support budgeting, forecasting, and provide financial insights to senior leadership.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

    + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (operational and technical focus).

    + Strong command of GAAP, full-cycle accounting, and month-end close processes.

    + Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, V/HLOOKUPs) and experience with a modern ERP/accounting system (QuickBooks Online, Xero, etc.).

    + Detail-oriented, excellent analytical skills, and strong communication abilities.
