Overview
This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company , supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures , including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades . Spirit Commercial ’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
+ Perform audits of policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance to program/contract, company, customer/government, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements.
+ Conduct research and use benchmarking to industry standards.
+ Conduct quality system / process reviews, provide customer interface, and ensure preventive and corrective action.
+ Review products, processes, equipment, and measurement systems.
+ Develop or utilize statistical process improvement methods.
+ Provide technical expertise to company employees,suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
+ Ensures compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements to assure quality system compliance.
+ Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years experience in Quality, in a Specialist, Quality Engineer or Management role
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft products such as Power Point, Excel, and Word
+ Must have good communication skills
+ Basic Engineering Blueprint/Specification understanding
+ Experience working across departments and/or with suppliers
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Candidate must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Proficient in root cause analysis methodology
+ Experience in AS9100 or NADCAP Audits
+ CATIA/VWI knowledge
+ RCCA experience
+ Experienced desired with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
+ Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and team-based environment
+ Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ DoD Clearance
Union:
This is a union-represented position.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $73,650 - $112,950
