We are currently looking for a Project Services Intern for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a motivated Industrial Engineering Intern to join our Project Services team, supporting initiatives that enhance project execution and operational efficiency. This role will focus on data analysis, process mapping, project reporting, and minor improvement initiatives to drive better decision-making and streamline workflows.
Key Responsibilities
+ Data Analysis & Reporting
+ Collect, analyze, and visualize project performance data.
+ Develop dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Power BI, etc.
+ Process Mapping & Improvement
+ Document current workflows and identify bottlenecks.
+ Create process maps using Visio or like applications.
+ Recommend improvements for efficiency and standardization.
+ Project Support
+ Assist in preparing scopes of work and project documentation.
+ Support minor initiatives related to project execution and compliance.
+ Continuous Improvement
+ Participate in process improvement workshops.
+ Contribute ideas for automation and optimization.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI and SharePoint
+ Knowledge of process mapping tools (Visio).
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Exposure to Lean Six Sigma principles.
+ Basic understanding of project management methodologies.
+ Interest in data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
+ High School Diploma
+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (Operations Management, Systems Engineering).
