PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The AP Fuel Specialist is responsible for AP specific to fuel purchases. This position will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly AP activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Import or enter Fuel AP invoices, which includes verifying accuracy of multiple inputs (i.e. vendor, pricing, product grade, product origin, and other)

• Match fuel invoices to other system inputs such as fuel gallons received and pricing approved by vendor

• Match EFTs by vendor to bank activity

• Identify discrepancies and resolve errors and billing issues

• Ensure an accurate and timely month, quarter, and year end close

• Provide backup coverage within the Accounting Department

• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

• 3 years of experience in accounting or AP

• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including oral and written communications

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly stand, walk, sit, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Estimated Annual Salary: $42,000-$52,000
