    + Under the direction of an Assistant Director, manages the capital projects functions of the Department of Parks and Recreation

    + Directs highly complex or sensitive assignments

    + Prepares or manages the preparation of various documents of a technical, sensitive, complex, or political nature

    + Represents the Department on capital project related matters and programs at various meetings

    + Collaborates with appropriate Departmental services, County departments, community stakeholders, and/or Federal, State, and local agencies on a variety of issues

    + May assume the duties of the Assistant Director (in absence of), as directed, by performing necessary management functions

    Requirements to Qualify

     

    Four years of supervisory experience at the level of County of Los Angeles class of Administrative Services Manager II* or higher overseeing a unit responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of capital projects for a California-based public agency with a budget of at least $1 million per capital project.

    Transfer of test components:
