Security & Fire Alarm Technician – Hudson, NY (Albany Area Coverage)

Pay: $20–$25/hr (Contract-to-Hire)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM

What You’ll Do

+ Install, service, and inspect security alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems for commercial clients

+ Terminate and dress Cat5/Cat6 cabling for IP video systems

+ Troubleshoot and maintain low-voltage systems

+ Read blueprints and work with networking hardware

+ Collaborate with a skilled team and occasionally work independently

+ Participate in an on-call rotation for service needs

What We’re Looking For

+ Experience with intrusion alarms, CCTV, and access control systems

+ Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and IP video systems

+ Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work comfortably on ladders

+ OSHA 10 certification (training provided if hired)

+ Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

+ Background check and drug test required

Bonus Points For:

+ Experience with Lenel access control, Bosch Security, or FCI fire alarm panels

+ Familiarity with NEC codes and regulations

+ Construction, telecom, or locksmithing Background

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
