    Position Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Laboratory Chemist to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring product quality through systematic testing at various production stages. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong teamwork abilities while contributing to our continuous improvement initiatives.

     

    **Location** : Onsite in Livermore, CA

    **Hours** : M-F 2nd shift

    **Type** : 6-month contract to hire

    **Compensation** : $23-$25/hour

    Primary Responsibilities

    + Conduct routine analytical testing including pH measurement, specific gravity determination, viscosity analysis, and sensory evaluations (color, odor, appearance, texture).

    + Execute sampling and testing procedures in accordance with established protocols to maintain critical Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) systems.

    + Document all analytical data with precision, including lot identification, physical observations, and test results.

    + Maintain laboratory equipment through proper operation, routine maintenance, and calibration activities.

    + Participate in complaint investigations and root cause analysis activities.

    + Adhere to laboratory protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

    + Demonstrate proper chemical handling techniques and hazard awareness.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant laboratory experience, OR

    + Associate's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific field with up to 5 years of relevant experience.

    + Prior manufacturing or production laboratory experience strongly preferred.
