    Preferred Qualifications:

    Two (2) or more years of experience in the area of assignment.

     

    One or more Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and/or ICAR Certification(s).

     

    Accredited Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair Program Certification.

     

    Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing All-Data to review and perform vehicle repairs.

     

    Experience working in a high-volume and fast-pace automotive repair shop.

     

    Demonstrated knowledge of electrical diagnostics and repair.

     

    Demonstrated knowledge of State purchasing guidelines and requirements.

    Job Summary:

    Under general supervision, maintains, diagnoses, inspects, and/or repairs engines, vehicles and other motorized equipment.

    Note:

    This position is located at GDC Fleet Operations in Monroe County, GA. Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing state vehicles and other equipment.

    High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in the area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Mechanic 1 (FET060) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require specific licensure.
