Job Description
**Essential Duties/Responsibilities** :
+ Works with peers, Continuous Improvement Leader, Value Stream Managers, Supervisors and Technicians supporting the day to day value stream operations to ensure procedures and standards are followed and manufacturing challenges are corrected
+ Resolves internal and external customer quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and driving corrective actions as part of manufacturing process gaps or customer complaints. Leads customer facing communication (presentations, meetings)
+ Utilizes data analysis tools along with Lean and Six Sigma skills to identify improvement opportunities for processes and products for scrap reduction, productivity increases, and space optimization.
+ Participates cross-functionally in new product development and product transfers into the Value Stream by assessing and mitigating risk utilizing advanced quality planning tools as required.
+ Reviews technical documents from Suppliers, Customers, Industry, etc., and interprets them from a Quality perspective integrating appropriate requirements into our processes. Updates or writes the necessary documents (work instructions, forms) as required.
+ Supports the Quality Management System by auditing processes and ensuring that processes and documentation are reflective of current practice. Also supports customer or third-party audits, including non-conformance closure.
+ Leads projects including supporting Smart Factory with the implementation of new quality equipment and automation.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
+ Minimum of 3-6 years of experience with quality engineering responsibilities in a manufacturing industry.
+ Bachelors of Science in Engineering or appropriate technical field
+ Six Sigma trained/certified (Yellow/Green Belt) preferred
+ ASQ Certifications (CQE, CQA) preferred
+ Lean methodology trained/certified preferred
+ ISO 9001/AS 9100 auditor training preferred
Skills and Experience:
+ Skilled in use of statistical software.
+ Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and training skills.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally at various levels from manufacturing technicians to senior managers across the organization in solving problems.
+ Experience with implementing continuous improvement projects.
+ Working knowledge of engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
+ Ability to work in teams and motivate people.
