IT Field Service Technician

Primary Skills:
+ Field Services Support
+ Desktop Support
+ Service Request Management
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide immediate technical support and resolutions for highly complex environments (e.g., shop floor), including after-hours support as needed.
+ Participate in the creation and reinforcement of standards for Field Services.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define IT support scope for project initiatives.
+ Follow and promote ITIL procedures.
+ Assist with network, server, and business infrastructure support.
+ Ensure proposed shop floor processes comply with Allegion Networking and Security policies and standards.
+ Install hardware and software to meet project requirements according to established standards.
+ Support Windows 11 migration projects.
Required Experience & Skills:
+ 3–6 years of experience supporting manufacturing and warehouse environments.
+ Strong functional and technical knowledge of:
+ Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 10, Windows 11)
+ Apple OSX, Linux Ubuntu
+ Microsoft Office Suites (2007–2016), Office 365
+ Microsoft applications (SharePoint, Teams, Visio)
+ Mobile OS: Apple iOS, Android, Windows CE.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
+ PC hardware troubleshooting experience.
+ Familiarity with serial-based technologies (PLCs, scanners, printers) and handheld scanners.
+ Basic audio-visual support.
+ Experience supporting label, laser, and multifunction printers.
+ Broad IT knowledge and awareness of industry trends.
+ Operational excellence in root cause analysis, risk reduction, security, controls, and change management.
+ Advanced troubleshooting skills.
+ Strong relationship management and conflict resolution abilities.
+ Experience with telephony technologies.
+ Exposure to a broad spectrum of IT applications and architecture.
+ Ability to work in cross-functional and virtual teams, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
+ Self-motivated problem solver with minimal supervision, supporting global team goals.

The annual salary for this position is between $37,804 – $74,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
