Special Education Teacher – $50–$55/hr – Melrose Park, IL – Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to students in grades 3–5 resource classrooms. This role includes planning and implementing individualized programs, delivering specialized instruction, and collaborating with general education staff to support student success.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: Melrose Park, IL

+ Start Date: January 5, 2026

+ End Date: May 2026

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:40 PM

+ Hours: Up to 35 hrs/week

+ Duration: 5 months

+ Pay Rate: $50–$55/hr | W2 position

+ Openings: 1

Responsibilities:

+ Provide instruction and support for elementary resource classrooms

+ Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

+ Collaborate with general education staff and families

+ Maintain compliance with state and district regulations

Requirements:

+ Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred

+ Experience in special education settings

+ Current CPR (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
