Required Education/Experience

+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8 years of engineering experience working on engineering related design and modification of industrial systems. or

+ Master's Degree in Engineering and 6 years of engineering experience working on engineering related design and modification of industrial systems.

Relevant Work Experience

+ Demonstrates strong personal accountability and adaptability to manage multiple priorities effectively, required.

+ Exhibits a high energy level and promote a positive work ethic in support of our Corporate Values, required.

+ Recognizes the importance of leadership, maintains a commitment to excellence, and ensures outstanding customer service, required.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), required.

+ Hands-on experience in electric and steam power plants, required.

+ Working knowledge of high-pressure boiler operations and balance-of-plant equipment maintenance, required.

+ Knowledge of boiler Burner Management Systems (BMS), preferred.

+ Knowledge of State and Federal regulations affecting steam plant operations and knowledge of industry codes and standards (i.e. ASME Boiler / Pressure Vessel code and B31.1, NBIC, NFPA 85, etc.) and process safety measures, preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

+ Driver's License Required

+ Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred

Physical Demands

+ Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold

+ Ability to be approved to wear and use either a full or half-face respirator, without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations

Additional Physical Demands

+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Must be able to travel to company locations and wear the required PPE as needed.

+ Must be willing and able to participate in sequence engineering program (which includes working nights, weekends, and an on-call schedule).

+ Must be willing and able to travel throughout the company service territory and sites requiring support including steam and electric plants.

+ Must be willing and able to climb into steam structures and the ability to work and walk in all weather conditions.

+ Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needs arise.
