13697BRJob Description:This Intern position will work within the Plant Process Control group and will afford the opportunity to apply educational experiences to real world industrial applications. Experiences are offered that encompass both existing system maintenance / enhancements, as well as ground up design, development and installation of new systems and processes, focused on productivity and quality improvements. Strong mentoring by seasoned Control Engineers ensures a mutually beneficial work experience.
Under supervised direction, the primary responsibilities include developing, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software applications for use in the production environment. These applications are based on the client/server technology. A typical process application today, supports one or more user interfaces, connects to one or more database servers, and communicates with one or more process data servers. The role includes the design and development of database systems, user interfaces, process algorithms, reusable software modules, communications servers, and application specific code. The operating systems and tools utilized in this effort include OpenVMS, Windows, PLC’s, DCS’s, RDB, MS SQL, Oracle, Wonderware, OSISoft PI, Intellutions iFix, C language, .NET languages, FORTRAN, and PLC block and ladder logic.
The successful candidate will be expected to take part in a cross functional team of management information systems, process control, and operations personnel in the development of a computer integrated manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
+ Candidates must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Management & Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other IT related discipline
+ Candidates must be a current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2026 and be in good academic standing
+ Be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
