    Overview

    THE ROLE:

    The Senior Manager, Product Strategy & Planning- Corporate in WW Supply Chain will work cross-functionally to drive upfront scoping and evaluation of strategic initiatives from the Commercial and Operations side. Serve as the primary partner for front-end team members creating the long-term product pipeline and portfolio management to prioritize largescale projects within resources available. The main deliverable is to align on strategic product projects driven by home office for launch in multiple regions; to manage the strategic plan considering cross-functional feedback and resource evaluation.

     

    Products evaluated may include new product launches, mergers with existing companies, acquisitions of formulas, reformulations of existing products, new packaging changes, and movement of existing products between suppliers. These product concepts may have a predetermined timeframe for launch.

    HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

    • Manage overall program for projects driven by corporate for implementation across multiple regions. This includes both new products and renovations.

    • Drive due diligence work on key initiatives to complete the strategic analysis for a Go/No Go decision. This work includes: risk assessment, timeline development, capacity evaluation, financial analysis, product requirement definition, and hand-off to begin Agile process for launch.

    • Drive conversion of Ideas into Regional Product Feasibility Requests (PFRs) for immediate launch. Manage activities related to development of business cases. Includes close support of Science and Product Marketing in this phase.

    • Lead PFRs with diverse cross-functional teams towards key product initiatives including: strategy, ideation, capacity analysis, product requirement definition, and hand-off to regional analysts.

    • Complete capacity and resource analysis for departments affected by the proposed project

    • Serve as a key partner and collaborate with Worldwide Product Marketing

    • Build rapport and gain commitment from key cross-functional global team members to ensure thorough analysis

    • Prepare and distribute consistent reporting documents for cross-functional team and management

    • Organize and lead cross-functional global calls and adhoc meetings related to projects

    • Develop an excellent understanding of the process, create new processes, and exhibit flexibility within the business process

    • Support department Director with adhoc projects

    You will be joining a dynamic and fun team that leads exciting, large-scale, complex initiatives and programs across different regions globally. Our team works cross-functionally with teams around the globe. The role is part of the PMO (Project Management Office) which is responsible for new product launches and renovations of products for the company.

    Qualifications

    SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

    • Comfortable working with large teams in a leadership role

    • Ability to solve practical problems and prioritize workload for effective implementation under general supervision

    • Team player able to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity

    • Ability to adapt as the external environment and as organization evolves

    • Lead process discussions and drive change

    • Proficiency in Windows, Outlook, MS Word, and Excel

    Education

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • 7-10 years of experience in managing projects

    • Experience leading projects with global teams

    • Capacity management and resource evaluation experience

    • Supervisory skills

    Preferred

    • MBA

    • Clear understanding of project management principles

    • Experience in MLM industry; in Agile PLM environment

    • Bilingual skills
