Description
+ Own the New Product Management process from conception to launch, overseeing the development and management of the product's roadmap based on the adopted strategies and vision.
+ Connecting the company's mission and key goals to a product strategy, and developing key tactics and KPIs to advance on that strategy.
+ Leads new product brand strategies, category alignments and provides strategic guidance on sales growth opportunities in collaboration with scientific & brand.
+ Build and present business cases for all new products, inclusive of market landscape, pricing, and forecasts in collaboration with scientific & sales planning.
+ Drive the product organization planning process, shaping best practices and enabling maximum efficiency.
+ Lead the Project Management team in securing timelines for each phase of the development process, ensuring timely arrival of products to the market.
+ Work collaboratively with the scientific, production, creative, and supply chain teams to develop and maintain efficient product processes.
+ Ensure seamless communication processes that provide product updates (ingredient changes, reformulations, supply chain issues, out of stocks) to affected areas of the business.
+ Communicate the vision for new products to key stakeholders across the business.
+ Input into and orchestrate the long⁃term NPD strategy, ensuring that development plans align with the needs of the consumer.
+ Leverage key global consumer insights/trends and analytics to deliver products that align with our consumer's needs in each local market.
+ Collaborate with the Sustainability to integrate sustainability innovation and measurements into the product development and production process.
+ Partner with the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to ensure our new product innovations/assortments are meeting the diverse needs of our consumer.
+ Directly manage Product Manager, and further build the product team as required to support the brands continued growth.
+ Lead the development of product packaging briefs, product messaging, and sell⁃in material.
+ Work with Scientific Communications in identifying key product benefits and facilitate the development of consumer⁃facing product messaging.
+ Orchestrate the development of brand led product initiatives, including but not limited to brand collaborations, bespoke sets, and retail partner exclusives.
+ Ensure effective transitions of existing/reformulated product development into the market, working with Supply Chain Management and Commercial teams to support successful product rollouts.
Qualifications
+ 7+ years of product marketing and development experience is essential
+ Beauty industry experience is strongly preferred
+ Passion for beauty and skincare industry
+ Previous cross⁃functional experience within a similar industry is essential
+ Experience working with Senior Leaders to deliver information and secure support/sign⁃off
+ The role requires influencing and collaborating on Product strategy with multiple cross functional stakeholders
+ Experience in integrating sustainable materials and practices throughout the product development and production process
+ Strong presentation skills
+ Natural affinity for problem solving
+ Proven crisis management experience
+ Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in brand or product management
