Department Overview
The Raymond James Alternative Investments Group is a team of professionals dedicated to providing analytical, administrative, educational, marketing and sales support to the Financial Advisors of Raymond James. The Alternative Investments Group provides a selection of non-traditional investments to serve the more extensive financial needs of higher-net-worth clients.
While some view alternatives as an asset class, we approach them as extensions and complements to traditional assets like equities, bonds, and real estate. By providing thorough due diligence and ongoing monitoring of offerings using a variety of strategies, the group assists financial advisors in determining the most appropriate alternative investments to enhance the asset allocation of qualified investors while adding value to their portfolios.
Job Summary
A Summer Associate with Alternative Investments Distribution team offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in customer service, understand the needs of financial advisors, and develop a range of professional skills. You can expect to enhance presentation skills, experience client and financial advisor interactions with seasoned members of the alternative investments group and learn complex products. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, resourceful, and ready to contribute creatively to our mission of informing and educating clients.
The summer associate position is a temporary role.
**Start Date:** Monday, June 1, 2026
**End Date:** Friday, August 7, 2026
**Work Schedule:** Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Support Financial Advisors: Understand andanticipatethe needs of financial advisors to provide effective support and enhance their productivity.
+ Creative Opportunities: Develop and implement creative strategies to inform and educate clients about our platform & private market solutions.
+ Relationship Building: Build relationships with key home office contacts, financial advisors, and alternative investment managers.
+ Communication Skills: Enhance your communication skills through regular interactions with team members via email, meetings, and Teams.
+ Information Gathering: Become a resourceful information gatherer,utilizingvarious tools and resources to provideaccurateandtimelyinformation when asked.
+ Professional Development: Learn how to put your best foot forward and support our valuable brand image while building one for yourself.
+ Office Environment: Gain a solid understanding of the basics of working in an office environment, including daily key tasks, office etiquette, and professional conduct.
+ Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational/** **Previous** **Experience Requirements
+ Freshmanor Sophomorestanding(December 2027-May 2029graduates) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
+ Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
+ Eligible applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including beyond OPT/EAD).
