Commercial Construction Lending Accountant

We have an outstanding Contract position for aCommercial Construction Lending Accountant to join a leading Company located in theTampa, FL surrounding area.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Develop and monitor project budgets, collaborating with managers to ensure accuracy.
+ Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs for internal and external reportin g.
+ Process and verify invoices , ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies; perform 3-way match of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts; obtain approvals , prepare payment batches (checks, ACH, wires) , and reconcile vendor statements to maintain timely and accurate payments.
+ Oversee construction loan draw processes, leveraging automation for efficiency.
+ Apply percentage-of-completion accounting and other specialized methods.
+ Structure finances to strengthen bonding and surety credibility.
+ Implement job costing systems to streamline operation s.
+ Set up robust accounting systems from day one.
+ Advise on lending options and identify financial improvements .
+ Handle prevailing wage compliance, contract management, and bonding requirements.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
+ Experience in construction accounting and loan draw processes.
+ Familiarity with surety and bonding requirements.
+ Proficiency in accounting software and job costing systems.
Desired Qualifications:
+ CPA certification, experience with automated loan draw systems, and knowledge of prevailing wage regulations.
