As a Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist at Covenant, you’re the driving force behind precision and innovation in the lab. You orchestrate every detail—from planning and organizing complex testing procedures to ensuring accurate, timely results that clinicians rely on. Your role blends science and leadership: maintaining rigorous quality standards, optimizing operations for efficiency, and mentoring a talented team. You’re the go-to expert for cutting-edge technology, regulatory compliance, and strategic problem-solving, all while keeping communication seamless across departments. Whether consulting on outreach services, managing special projects, or stepping in as acting director, you make sure the lab runs like a well-oiled machine—delivering excellence every single day.

+ This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled

+ This role requires for you to be located within a commutable distance of our office location listed below:

+ **Texas:** **Plainview**

+ Flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements.

+ **Shifts Hours:**

+ 4 to 10 hrs. shifts

Required qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree **-OR-** Meets CLIA requirements for a General Supervisor

+ Sufficient clinical laboratory experience to perform accurately and precisely the assigned work

Preferred qualifications:

+ 1 or more years of work experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably a hospital setting

+ 4 or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory following licensure or certification

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
