    Description

    The paramedic is responsible for the delivery of quality care for ill or injured patients under varied conditions in collaboration with department specific personnel. The paramedic must be highly motivated and able to function using assessment skills and written standards as defined by departmental policy. Must also be able to participate in Departmental committees, public relations, and outreach education.

    Required Qualifications:

    + Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.

    + Upon hire: Texas Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems Or

    + Upon hire: Texas Paramedic License - Texas Office of EMS-Trauma Systems

    + Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

    + Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association

    + Upon hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association

    + 3-year Experience in a healthcare setting.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 1 year Covenant Ambulance:

    + Experience in emergency medical services.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
