Position Summary

Liturgical Press invites applications for the casual/on-call positions of Shipping Specialist. Hours of operation are 8:00AM to 4:30PM Monday - Friday.

Liturgical Press is internationally known as a Catholic and ecumenical publisher in prayer and spirituality, Scripture, liturgy, theology, and monastic life. Founded in 1926, the Liturgical Press is the publishing house of Saint John's Abbey, a Benedictine community located within the 3,000 acres of woods and lakes on the campus of Saint John's University in central Minnesota.

Under direct supervision of warehouse shipping manager, this position involves the processing of orders for packaging, packaging of orders and best-way shipment of packages. Responsible for taking care of incoming and outgoing inventory products. Assist in other warehouse and shipping procedures.

Responsibilities

+ Responsible for processing orders for packaging.

+ Responsible for packaging orders.

+ Responsible for shipping packaged orders.

+ Assist in receiving, unloading and storing of incoming inventory products.

+ Responsible for processing all customer returns.

+ May be asked to become a certified forklift operator.

+ Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to operate the following equipment: warehouse management software, computerized postal equipment, radio frequency guns, computerized packing station equipment, bar code scanners, tape machine, typewriter, computer, printers, banding machine, staple machine, hand shrink wrapper, forklift, scales, pallet trucks, hand trucks, folding machine, inserting machine, bursting machine, postage equipment, tabbing equipment.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

Standing for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Frequent walking and lifting may be required.

Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
