Job Description

A client in the Greenwood Village is seeking a Systems Engineer. This person will be responsible for maintenance and monitoring of the customer premise equipment (CPE) lab. You will do basic triaging, troubleshooting, configuration, and provisioning of any issues that arise in order to maintain the environments integrity and functionality. This person will also be responsible for deploying code to new hardware equipment. This role is ideal for someone Jr in their career but eager to continue, hit the ground running, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will work on platform environments, deploying code, manage headends, and troubleshooting issues to maintain a healthy and stable lab environment. This position requires strong technical foundations, a proactive mindset, and the ability to take ownership.

This is 4 days a week onsite and a contract position slated for a minimum of 6 months + extensions. This is offering a pay rate of 32-38/hr.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain lab headend components and platform environments.

Deploy code to platform devices and ensure proper configuration.

Troubleshoot Centil boxes and resolve technical issues promptly.

Create and maintain healthy test environments for field issue replication and validation.

Support proof-of-concept testing, validations, and troubleshooting for high-speed data and video ecosystems.

Collaborate with team members to deliver initiatives with speed and accuracy.

Work with Linux systems for command-line installs and configurations (Rocky Linux or Red Hat preferred).

Skills and Requirements

- 2–3 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Systems Administration.

- Strong foundation in Linux systems (administration, command lines, troubleshooting).

- Experience with Rocky Linux or Red Hat.

- Understanding of RF principles, broadband communication, and high-speed data.

- Familiarity with cable systems and video platforms.

- Solid troubleshooting skills (prioritize over theoretical problem-solving).

- Knowledge of deploying code and managing configurations. Bonus: Experience managing head ends or having a personal lab for hands-on practice.
