MANTECH seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Information System Security Officer to join our team in Quantico, VA.

You will play a critical role in safeguarding information systems and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards. This role supports mission-critical activities and works closely with internal teams and the Sponsor to meet rigorous security requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Support the cybersecurity lifecycle from assessment through compliance:

+ Create, update, maintain, and interpret required Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation

+ Navigate the Sponsor’s accreditation process in collaboration with management, internal teams, and Sponsor authorities

+ Document and maintain control responses, including comprehensive libraries and network diagrams for cyber defense capabilities and sensors

+ Conduct regular vulnerability scanning across Sponsor networks and maintain system baselines

+ Support configuration management and security event monitoring processes

+ Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure full system compliance and operational integrity

+ Recommend and, when approved, implement security process and policy enhancements

+ Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

+ 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in Information Systems Security

+ Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements (for example, must have and maintain active Security + CE (or equivalent)

+ Demonstrated experience with ICD 503 and the Sponsor's accreditation processes, especially in developing A&A BOE documentation

+ Proven ability to meet security requirements in complex or Sponsor environments

+ Experience managing and documenting complex networks, including compliance, patching, configuration management, and centralized authentication

+ Strong communication skills for creating and maintaining technical and security documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

+ Familiarity with the Sponsor’s primary cyber risk and compliance automation tools

+ Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, able to coordinate meetings and influence change across teams

Clearance Requirements:

+ Must have a current active TS/SCI

Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

+ Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

+ Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Mus be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
