Summary:
Manages complex Digital Commerce Technology projects, introduces new technologies and system upgrades for Customer facing applications including Fare Collection, Mobile applications, Web Applications and Passenger Communications. Uses effective project management methodology and culture for both internal and external resources. Keeps Customer Focus in mind for all Customer facing applications. Manage implementation and maintenance of applications supporting the NJ TRANSIT websites, mobile applications, IVR, fare collection equipment. Manage changing product requirements, work with users and developers. Manage product improvements, work with business leaders, vendors, and Customer Communications on improving applications and simplifying user experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Manage projects from inception through RFP to delivery.
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously providing updates on schedule, costs, and risks to leadership.
+ Ensures that assigned projects are properly designed, coordinated, communicated, and delivered on schedule and within budget. Manages effective project management methodology and culture for both internal and external resources.
+ Must be proactive and investigate, analyze, and make recommendations regarding technology improvements, upgrades, and modifications to Digital Commerce Products
+ Define development direction and strategy for Digital Commerce equipment and applications.
+ Translate product road map features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria for applications.
+ Manage and maintain the project documentation including PPM Pro and procurement documentation in Share Point.
+ Collaborate with developers and vendors to implement new applications, features, and updates to ensure the implementations are accomplished to spec and drive user satisfaction.
+ Provide technical guidance and set product improvement milestones for vendors and technology service providers.
+ Collaborate with other IT sectors to implement application and server upgrades and other maintenance to support all Digital Commerce applications.
Education, Experience and Qualifications// KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field and 10+ years of related experience.
+ Project management experience of large projects and experience with external vendor involvement is required.
+ Experience in developing product optimizations and new product ideas.
+ In lieu of degree, can substitute one year of related work experience for each year of education required.
Knowledge and Skills:
+ Project management.
+ Technical requirements gathering and documentation.
+ RFP development.
+ Product Road mapping, and track/report on progress.
+ Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews.
+ Data Analysis skills.
+ Software development management skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
+ Excellent Oral and Communications skills.
