    Description

    SAIC is seeking a **Platform Engineer** for the shipboard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) major systems. This program will be part of a transformative venture, driving the future of next generation afloat mission effectiveness in response to evolving strategic and environmental demands.

    Job Duties:

    + Perform Platform Engineering SATCOM and data link support for stage 4 and 5 test procedures development and test execution project for shipboard C5ISR systems.

    + Communicate to assigned Project Manager all key project SATCOM systems integration plans, and engineering changes including requirements, C5ISR systems configurations and status, schedule, and scope changes.

    + Works with the multidisciplinary technical team to ensure successful shipboard industrial test procedures development and testing.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s and nine (9) years or more relevant experience with one or more C5ISR systems listed below; additional four (4) years of experience in lieu of degrees.

    Required Security Clearance:

    + Must have an active secret clearance on first day of employment with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

    Required Experience with One or More Key shipboard SATCOM Systems:

    + Commercial Broadband Satellite Program and STING terminals.

    + Navy Multiband Terminal (AEHF, WGS, MILSTAR).

    + Network Tactical Common Data Link (NTCDL).

    + Digital Modular Radio (UHF SATCOM).

    + Advanced Time Division Multiple Access Interface Processor.

    + Television Direct-to-Sailors.

    + Satellite Terminal (transportable) Non-Geostationary (STING).

    + EHF SATCOM.

    + Global Broadcast Service (GBS).

    + Satellite Signals Navigation Set (WRN-6V).

    Required Certifications:

    + Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IA Level II - Security+ certification, or CSSIP or equivalent.

    Desired Qualifications and Experience:

    + Familiar with C4ISR/C5ISR Interface Control Documents, Block diagrams, electrical wiring diagrams, and Functional Interface Drawings.

    + Experience with MIL-STD-2106 Development of Shipboard Industrial Test procedures.

    + Prior experience working in a Firm Fixed Price environment.

    + Prior experience providing support for a project in a shipyard environment.
