The Office of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions at Binghamton University (SUNY) seeks a detail-oriented, technically skilled professional with experience in recruitment and/or admissions in higher education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical, interpersonal and collaborative abilities to coordinate, strengthen, and streamline recruitment efforts across graduate programs at Binghamton University utilizing data-driven recruitment strategies and relationship management techniques.
The Office of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions supports prospective student engagement and recruitment initiatives requested by academic programs at the graduate level; this role focuses on maintaining the technological and relational infrastructure that supports these efforts. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment, this professional will assist the University with recruitment related initiatives across multiple graduate degree programs
Responsibilities:
+ Represent the University professionally at select international and domestic recruiting events, conferences and meetings, traveling independently as well as part of a delegation.
+ Support the implementation of graduate recruitment strategies for the University in collaboration with the office's Director, Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment, and other team members.
+ Maintain recruitment-related projects, communication campaigns, and recruitment-related data dashboards within the CRM to improve operational efficiency.
+ Use analytics and reporting tools (Slate, SAS, and other data systems) to monitor recruitment initiatives by program and overall campaign effectiveness; assess recruitment trends, and recommend data-informed adjustments to outreach and engagement strategies.
+ Leverage technical knowledge of the Slate CRM to manage graduate recruitment projects on behalf of programs within assigned liaison areas, including planning and building communication campaigns, event and appointment creation, building relevant forms and queries, and managing student-facing recruitment portals as necessary to optimize data collection and prospective student engagement through all stages of the funnel.
+ Collaborate with Communications and Marketing to develop and implement coordinated messaging, digital engagement strategies, physical and digital marketing materials and email communication streams targeting prospective students.
+ Collect and evaluate feedback and data from campus partners and industry leaders to refine engagement tactics and inform broader strategy.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders - including individual academic programs, Communications and Marketing, and other appropriate campus offices - to align CRM data practices and reporting with university-wide enrollment goals.
+ Employ effective and professional communications/marketing skills, generate and respond to inquiries, provide consistent and professional recruiting information and communicate proactively with partner universities, schools and recruitment organizations in a timely manner.
+ Serve as a key liaison between the Office of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions and other university offices, including academic program directors and dean's office staff, building cooperative and dynamic relationships to coordinate communication plans, event logistics, and data sharing, ensuring that recruitment initiatives and strategies align with academic program priorities.
+ Develop written and data-driven documentation as it pertains to recruitment-related initiatives, both at the individual program level and for campus-wide initiatives.
+ Create and deliver marketing and promotional presentations to diverse audiences domestically, internationally, virtually and through key partners.
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree (or higher)
+ Professional presentation, oral, and written communication skills
+ Proficiency in standard office software such as Microsoft Office/Google Suite
+ Ability to quickly learn and master complex new technologies (e.g., CRM systems, data visualization tools).
+ Demonstrated capacity for building, cultivating, and maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders (e.g., students, faculty, partners)
+ Ability and willingness to work a non-standard or varied schedule, including some evenings and weekends
+ All necessary documentation for independent, extensive domestic and international travel
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's degree (or higher)
+ Professional experience working in higher education
+ Experience utilizing CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce or other such software systems) to track, manage, and nurture relationships with prospective students and applicants throughout the funnel
+ Experience pulling queries for data-driven reporting & analysis
+ Experience with graduate recruitment and graduate degree requirements
+ Familiarity with the logistics and implementation of domestic and international recruiting events, fairs, and communications including data capture and event analysis
+ Experience in designing targeted outreach or recruitment plans utilizing a multi-faceted approach, with a keen focus on market segmentation and campaign performance review
