**Description** Environmental Services (ENS) Upper Midwest Region is seeking a strategic and dynamic Operations Manager in its Minneapolis-St. Paul office. The Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the operational management in support of leading teams and departments, directing projects, overseeing contracts, managing and mitigating business and project risk, and implementing Burns & McDonnell’s safety and quality control programs. Working directly with the ENS Regional Global Practice Manager, this includes supporting the development and execution of business strategy, supporting profitable sales and growth, developing high-performing teams, and promoting the Burns & McDonnell culture, values, and mission of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety, and overall outstanding service.
+ Responsible for supporting and executing Global Practice strategies and goals.
+ Support initiatives for sales, revenue, and income goals for the Global Practice and Regional Office.
+ Achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance. Present results to leadership.
+ Responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying areas for growth and construction opportunities.
+ Responsible for reviewing resource requirements with Department and Section Managers.
+ Provide leadership to the team; direct and coordinate activities of several Departments and/or Sections of the Global Practice, conduct performance evaluations for direct reports.
+ Lead and direct Project Managers to maintain and exceed project execution goals and expectations. Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations.
+ Conduct project reviews on a routine basis depending on project delivery type and size.
+ Support contract reviews and contract negotiations for the Global Practice, adhere to the risk management process.
+ Recruit, hire, develop, and retain outstanding employee-owners.
+ Plan, schedule, and coordinate resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
+ Adhere to and champion the Burns & McDonnell Quality Control program.
+ Responsible for maintaining the Burns & McDonnell Safety program.
+ Responsible for maintaining compliance with equal employment opportunity initiatives.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor Degree in Environmental-related fields including Engineering, Sciences, Geology, or other applicable fields.
+ Minimum 10 years related professional experience in the consulting and/or construction industry.
+ Position requires the ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.
+ Candidates must possess ability to process and manage project budgets and financial data.
+ Proven experience managing complex environmental projects or programs.
+ Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
+ Consulting experience preferred.
Compensation
$160,000.00-390,000.00 Yearly
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
