This position is a Product Development Technician, that includes work in Calibration, Development, and Durability testing of Engines, Powertrains, and/or Transmissions. The individual must possess strong problem-solving skills, sound mechanical background and attention to detail.
In this position...
+ Fabricate and Machine Experimental parts to support testing at ELD / RIC Engine Dynamometer Laboratories and RIC Components laboratory. May also support testing by supporting machining jobs from other building outside of these areas.
+ Use Master Cam Designing software to upload prints from the ELD design team, simulate machining of parts and upload programs into HAAS CNC machines and Water Jet.
+ Must have a working knowledge of HAAS CNC Lathe, HAAS CNC Mill, manual Mill, Lathe and Water Jet.
+ Must have knowledge in reading blueprints and understand part call out specifications and tolerances.
+ Basic Computer Skills: Word, Excel and Outlook.
What you'll do...
+ Work closely with the ELD Design Team and Engineering Customers.
+ Use of Master Cam software.
+ Work with Supervision on scheduling yearly routine maintenance on all machines.
+ Maintain ELMs Request Manager to open and close all machining jobs in the que.
+ Order Materials and tooling for all jobs.
+ Keep Inventory of materials and tooling.
+ Work with Trades on repairing machines
+ Coordinate outside vendors to come onsite when maintenance and repairs of the machines is needed.
You'll have...
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ 2+ years of experience working with HAAS CNC Machines, Master Cam Design Software, Use of Manual Lathe, Mill and Water Jet.
Even better, you may have...
+ 3+ years of experience working with HAAS CNC Machines, Master Cam Design Software, Use of Manual Lathe, Mill and Water Jet.
+ Knowledge on how to design parts and fixtures in Master Cam.
+ Knowledge in Machine Repair and Maintenance.
+ Positive attitude.
+ Good People Skills when working with the Engineering community and the ELD Design teams.
+ Strong background in computer skills.
