    Key Responsibilities:

    Responsible for managing and maintaining FFP loyalty relationships with United’s expanding network of Star Alliance partners and other strategic airline partners, with the goal of growing flight revenue, FFP membership, and partner revenue. The Associate Analyst will perform financial analysis of FFP air partnerships, identify strategic opportunities for partnership growth, lead select partner promotions, create or improve analytical tools/models, as well as assist in contract negotiations with air partners.

     

    + Assist with monthly financial close, including oversight of 100s of millions of dollars of revenue and expenses exchanged across 40+ airlines partnership as well as monthly and annual forecasts

    + Support large scale analytical work including the development of financial models to measure/quantify the success of existing and new air partnerships and forecasts

    + Liaison with key internal stakeholders with an emphasis on the Loyalty Operations team and Loyalty IT with a focus on managing day-to-day processes

    + Monitory industry trends across airlines (partners and non-partners) to share with the appropriate team SME when relevant

    + Network across the wider department and company internally to learn more about the industry

    **Notes:** This is a Chicago-based hybrid role with in-office requirements 50% of the time. This role will travel up to 5% of the time.

    Qualifications

    What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

    + Bachelor’s degree

    + 0-1 years of relevant work experience

    + Models character

    + Fosters teamwork

    + Thinks strategically

    + Delivers results

    + Data querying

    + Basic frequent flyer program background/understanding

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

    + Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

    + Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

    What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

    + Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience

    + 1+ years’ experience working with other airlines or frequent flyer programs, including financial negotiations and analysis

    + Airline finances

    + Loyalty principles/concepts

    + Contract negotiation

    The base pay range for this role is $53,960.00 to $70,334.00.

     

    The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
