Under the general supervision of the IT Application Manager, the Applications Integration analyst will perform complex analysis and development in support of HL7 Interface messages as well as API. Work involves planning and analysis of user requirements, procedures, and problems with Oracle Cerner Rad Net and Path Net modules, as well as other third-party applications as assigned. Assists and collaborate with fellow team members, customers, and vendors with questions involving integration, applications, and other communications between programs. Responsible for providing technical knowledge around solutions and best practices with interoperability, device management as well as other third-party applications as assigned. Work involves analyzing all aspects of interoperability, coordinating with vendors and the IT Infrastructure department, monitoring technical tasks to meet user requirements, and developing technological solutions to deliver the best product for customers. Works with various department managers to test, deploy, troubleshoot, and monitor all applications and devices within the ecosystem.
Job Requirements Knowledge of/Skill/Ability to: • Ability to work directly with providers and clinical staff to optimize EHR integrations. • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows and processes. • Ability to work closely with project sponsors, project leaders and analysts. • Ability to evaluate clinical needs. Optimize and implement EHR software to meet the needs of the end user when implementing plans. • Knowledge of information systems and how they can be used to improve efficiency and patient care. • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships; interact productively with both clinical and non-clinical teams. • Excellent customer service skills. • Ability to assess the implication on clinical operations and processes of patient care delivery when assisting in resolution of departmental issues. • Ability to teach and train end-users of the applications and to trouble shoot problems that arise. • Assist in live conversion plans for new and upgraded systems. • Provide departmental support during each phase of Applications/ system/software modifications and implementations. • Participate as content expert in QA of the application functions. • Assist in the development of user policies and procedures. • Willing to provide on call after-hours support as needed.
License/Certification N/A
Education and/or Experience • 2-year clinical certification or bachelor’s degree in a clinical field, preferred. • Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting clinical information systems with the knowledge of Cerner (Communityworks), strongly preferred. • Experience with ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other enterprise applications, preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 50 pounds). May be required to sit for extended periods of time. Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers; and hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
