As a **Security Officer - Front Desk Access** in **Glendale, CA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and tenants at a dynamic location. Your role involves managing access control, monitoring alarm panels, and providing exceptional customer service. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your presence and communication skills, supporting a welcoming environment while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.

+ Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of guests, visitors, and/or vendors as required.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

+ Assist with emergency response activities and communicate promptly with appropriate personnel during incidents.

+ Answer questions and provide information or directions as needed to visitors and occupants at the front desk.

+ Support Allied Universal in helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through observation and reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Access control or badge experience is preferred.

+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
