What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual circumstances.

+ Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other disruptive behavior.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.

+ Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to site protocols.

+ Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel during critical incidents as required by site procedures.

+ Adhere to all Allied Universal policies, procedures, and training requirements, including those specific to armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A minimum of five years of security-related experience is required.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
