Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, WI is seeking a REVENUE CYCLE REGULATORY SPECIALIST to join our REVENUE CYCLE team!

This position is responsible for ensuring revenue cycle practices that encompass the billing of patient care services are in compliance with rules and regulations for participation in governmental programs as well as meeting the contractual obligations of non-governmental payors. This position will research and communicate to all necessary stakeholders regulatory any contractual or regulatory changes that impact the revenue cycle and its integrity. This position will service as subject matter expert on regulatory and payor requirements and will assist department with developing policies and procedures to support these requirements and ensure compliance. This position is responsible to ensure that all necessary process or system changes are implemented timely as provided through regulatory or other payor changes to ensure compliance. This position also serves as an expert for the revenue cycle for the areas of responsibility.

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Remote.

Experience/Qualifications

+ Knowledge of healthcare financial and compliance standards normally acquired through completion of an Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Healthcare, Business or a medical related field desired.

+ Minimum of three years’ experience in revenue cycle functions that provided for experience with regulatory compliance.

+ Possess a solid understanding and knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other governmental regulatory agency guidelines is required.

+ Experience with reading, researching, and interpreting regulatory information.

+ Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook & other reporting tools required.

+ Must be familiar with HIPPA guidelines when communicating with others, working in patients’ accounts or chart, and in holding the integrity of the patient data. All things viewed in a patients’ chart or accounts will remain confidential in accordance to Aspirus’ policies and governmental regulations.

+ Proficient in basic patient information guidelines set forth by Aspirus, the state(s), and the federal government.

+ Detail orientation with a high degree of accuracy in all aspects of work.

+ Requires a strong demonstration of critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.

+ Ability to use independent judgment and decision-making, and to know when questions require guidance and direction.
