IT Program Manager – IT Finance and Contract Lifecycle Management
The Information Technology (IT) Program Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all IT programs within their assigned area deliver meaningful outcomes aligned with organizational goals. This position provides strategic guidance to leadership, project teams, and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture, values and strategy.
In this position, the IT Program Manager will focus on supporting the finance and sourcing area of IT, including budget and reconciliation processes, capital requests, and the contract lifecycle. This role will also share responsibility for some portfolio management within our IT Project Governance process in coordination with our IT PMO. This role collaborates closely with senior executives, IT Leadership, and IT governance bodies ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader capable of coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver results efficiently and on time. They will collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective strategies and procurement tactics, provide mentorship, and program management support for process improvement initiatives across the Information Technology department.
Preferred: Experience in contract management, procurement, accounting/finance
HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks.
Experience/Qualifications
+ Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Health Administration, Project Management, Health Information Management preferred, or relevant field.
+ Knowledge and ability to effectively utilize project portfolio management tools, like ServiceNow, Microsoft 365 tools, such as Teams and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) preferred.
+ 10+ years of relevant project/program management experience preferred.
+ Demonstrated leadership skills and sensitivity to organizational politics.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams within a structured project governance framework, with a strong commitment to follow-through and driving tasks to completion across all deliverables.
+ Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with a strong orientation toward change management and process improvement; able to clearly articulate complex concepts, influence stakeholders, and drive adoption of new ways of working.
+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations, take ownership, and drive solutions independently. Comfortable working with minimal supervision while remaining closely aligned with leadership support and organizational goals.
+ Excellent problem-solving ability.
+ Excels in interpersonal skills.
+ Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
+ Specialized knowledge of the best practices for project/program management and familiarity with related technologies.
+ Must have the ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand way.
+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group and C-suite level situations.
+ Ability to respond to questions from managers, customers, and other employees of the organization.
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
