ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a WASHER-DRYER OPERATOR to join our LAUNDRY team!

Salary Range: $17.79 - $23.39 Hourly

Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

FTE: FULL TIME, 1.00 FTE

JOB SUMMARY

The Washer-Dryer Operator is responsible for picking up, sorting, washing and drying of linens, uniforms, drapes, and other Hospital washables. Is also responsible for recording linen weights and supplies used, keeping work area and equipment clean, and for following proper safety procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of work methods and washing equipment; safety precautions and work methods. Must be able to work well with others and organize work responsibilities efficiently. Must use measuring devices. Understand and interpret oral and written instructions; keep basic records; maintain a neat and clean personal appearance.

+ READING - Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

+ WRITING - Basic: Ability to write simple correspondence.

+ SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.

+ MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
