    As a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST with Aspirus Ironwood Hospital, you provide respiratory and cardiopulmonary monitoring diagnostics and therapy services to patients of all ages in a variety of care environments.

    Experience/Qualifications

    + Knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols normally acquired through graduation from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care with an Associate Degree.

    + A Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care or Biological Sciences beneficial.

    + One year of critical care experience and experience in pulmonary function or cardiopulmonary lab beneficial.

     

    Licensure

     

    + Active Michigan Respiratory Care Practitioner license required. RRT or CRT

    + Registered RRT by the National Board of Respiratory Care, or registry eligible and obtained within one year of hire.

    + Current BLS and ACLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. NRP and PALS preferred.

    Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood’s service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
