Salary Range: $46.41 - $74.27 Hourly

Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours

Weekend Requirement: Generally, No Weekends

FTE: FULL TIME, 1.00 FTE

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Emergency Services is responsible to Hospital Operations Directors for providing leadership and management of the Emergency Department. The Manager plans, develops, implements and evaluates staff, systems and services related to Emergency Services, supervising and/or coordinating the functions with a focus on service delivery and growth, financial performance, physician/staff relations, clinical outcomes, operation, execution and patient satisfaction. Works collaboratively system-wide with administrative and medical staff as needed. Provides direction and is a resource to meet the operational needs of assigned areas of responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

+ Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing or its equivalent in related field plus one (1) year supervisory/management experience (may include charge, AHN, HN, Administrative Supervisor, etc.) - OR - Associate Degree/Diploma in Nursing or its equivalent in related field plus two (2) years supervisory/management experience at St. Luke's (may include charge, AHN, HN, Administrative Supervisor, etc.).

+ Experience: Minimum three (3) years previous clinical/work experience in acute care facility.

+ Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current license in Minnesota to practice as registered nurse.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Education: Master's Degree in Nursing or its equivalent in a related field, or active enrollment in Master's program with agreed upon completion date is strongly preferred.

+ Experience: Emergency care and/or emergency services experience.

+ Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A

+ MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Advanced: Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.

+ REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
