We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse at Aspirus Wausau Hospital to join our Medical/Pediatrics team!

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN works within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

HOURS: Supplemental or .4 FTE; 32 hours bi-weekly; PM/NOC rotation

Experience/Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through graduation of an approved practical nurse program and completed formal course of instruction in medication administration.

+ One to two years’ medical/surgical experience necessary to enhance and develop skills, with one to two years of progressive home care experience beneficial.

+ Current Wisconsin and/or Michigan LPN licensure.

+ Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
