    Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking an INFECTION PREVENTION COORDINATOR to join our QUALITY SERVICES team!

     

    This individual will be responsible for surveillance, prevention and control of infections that could be transmitted in a healthcare setting as well as the prevention or minimization of the risk of occupational exposure to employees. Recommends and administers comprehensive infection prevention and control policies and procedures and monitors the environment for potential risks. Collaborates with manager to ensure infection prevention and control policies and procedures are compliant with regulatory requirements and standards. Collects, aggregates and analyzes data related to all aspects of infection prevention to afford opportunities to improve clinical care and patient safety. Prepares reports detailing findings and submits same to appropriate leadership.

     

    HOURS: Part Time; 0.6 FTE or 48 hours per pay period. Day Shift.

    Experience/Qualifications

    + Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a nursing program. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

    + Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

    + Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.

    + Two years nursing experience in acute care, skilled nursing, or relevant outpatient setting.
